Went for happy hour. They have very good food and drinks. Loved the basil lime gimlet. However their service needs a bit of improvement. I was told I needed to move from where I was sitting and the logical place for me was to move to a seat which had something on it that I felt I needed to wipe off before I sat down. At the very least the server should have offered to wipe the seat and given me a new napkin which did not happen. I consider this a high end restaurant and even though I was ordering off the happy hour menu I think there were some basic service issues that were lacking.

We enjoy dinners at this restaurant. They consistently have good food and recently they opened for lunch. One of our favorite restaurants in the Portland Metro Area. If you are looking for good Italian food this is the place.

Arrived on a Saturday night with reservations. Celebrating a birthday, the evening was perfect. Nice table in the corner with booth seating. The service was attentive and spot on. Food delicious, wine perfectly paired. Compliments to the chef. The birthday girl received a complimentary dessert. Fine dining in West Linn, a small town, was a pleasant surprise. What's not to like? Will be back.

I really like Bugatti's here in West Linn. It is a fine dining establishment unlike its sister Oregon City location which is a much more casual dining experience with lower quality ingredients. The ambiance is soft and romantic, the menu is simple and the wine selection is pretty good. My only problem is the pretentious attitudes of not only the patrons but several of the staff. I do not think that anyone should be judged by the way they look or dress so long as they pay their bill and act otherwise respectfully. They serve crusty como style bread and some very nice olive oil. Tonight we tried the Brushchetta, the Caprese Salad, the Eggplant Parmesan, the Lamb Rigatoni, the Ravioli of the day, the Tiramisu, and the Strawberry Basil Gelato. We all agreed that the Brushchetta and the Caprese Salad were very good. The Brushchetta was served with smokey charred bread and a sweet balsamic vinegar. It was tasty. The Caprese was simply presented which was welcome. I liked the Eggplant Parmesan. It was neither greasy or bitter. It was sliced thin with creamy mozzarella on top. The Lamb was very, very good. I recommend it if you are looking for a hearty winter dish. The ravioli special was sweet potato gorgonzola. For such a great flavor profile, these were disappointing. I expected a fine Italian eatery to make their ravioli in house which they do not, and for the price I do not think it is too much to ask. The dish was so-so. The Tiramisu was down right sexy. Perfect flavors, perfect texture. The Gelato was wonderful as well. This Bugatti's has sweet treats dialed in. I will certainly go back. I have never been during happy hour but they seem to get a good response from other reviews for the HH dishes and prices. This is not the best Italian food I have ever had but I have to say it is one of the better ones in this area. If you are looking for a similar experience but a bit more casual and even better Italian food, visit Prontobella Italian Kitchen in Clackamas where everything is made in house. If you want the best go up the street to Nicoletta's Table In Lake Oswego and treat yourself to some of the hands down best authentic Italian food.

I went there for dinners 4 times...Once seated in the patio room, slow service, bugs falling from the overhead fan, into the food and onto the table, when I and my wife brought this to our servers attention, no new table and no new food :-( And the "Last" time we used our password card and were short changed 3 (three) times, my wife went back in to reclaim our change! the salmon was the only good meal, one out of four isn't bad right?

Fast, friendly service. Flavorful olive oil / marinara served with fresh, warm bread for the table. Nice, succinct dinner menu with a variety of choices and a very competitively priced Happy Hour menu available even if you sit outside on the patio. The Happy Hour menu itself is a great value, especially the gorgonzola burger. Parking has never been an issue, as there always seems to be room either in the lot in the back or along the street. Have been twice, will definitely go back.

Bugatti's of West Linn was a fabulous way to spend a quiet evening. The service was stellar all the way from the water boy who scooped in, filled the glass, and was off without us even noticing. The water was very friendly and was patient while we decided what to order. We decided to split the spinach salad which had toasted pine nuts that gave it an extra crunch. We also split the entree of Gamberetti which is made with prawns, pine nuts, green onions, chili flakes, garlic and angel hair. We loved the lightness of the dish-perfect for splitting with a little extra bread on the side. The garlic salt infused oil for the bread could have been my husbands favorite part of the meal-until dessert was ordered. We had the Profiterlies (sp?) crispy cream puffs, vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream and a chocolate sauce over it-great way to end the evening. Again-the service was as stellar as the meal itself--very charming waiter and made us feel comfortable taking our time to decide on the meal. We will be back!

I had a great experience here! Everything is cooked to order, and my server was knowledgeable about the menu so she was able to help me pick something delicious that could be prepared without dairy. I had the prosciutto prawn appetizer and the lemon chicken, and both were wonderful! I'd call the atmosphere "traditional." It was very quiet and dark inside, which is fine if that's your thing, but if I went back I'd probably want to sit on the patio. Recommended over all!

Not bad. Even though they don't honor reservations for happy hour (which is not clear on the OpenTable website), the host did everything in his power to find me a table and to keep me updated on when that might happen, since I didn't want to sit at the bar. We got to sit in the atrium-type room which was neat, filled with all sorts of plants. The food was fine; I enjoyed the bread and oil, and the cheese ravioli and the shrimp. Happy hour prices are very, very reasonable (especially for the area), and it was nice enough; if it had been their usual prices, I wouldn't have felt so satisfied as the food was fine but nothing to write home about. I did love their Italian soda, which I had for the first time: strawberry with cream. It was delicious! Service was very attentive. All in all, Bugatti's was nice. Nice atmosphere, good service, including the host, and decent food for the happy hour prices.

Came in for dinner last night:the staff was friendly, most of the food was good, the tiramisu was delicious. The bruschetta to start was fantastic, I loved the big chunks of tomato and quality balsamic. For dinner, everyone who ordered a pasta dish really seemed to enjoy what they had. Nothing really blew anyone away but for the most part it was all good. My huge complaint though is that the osso buco was not edible. The beef SHOULD have been braised and slow cooked all day to the point that the meet is falling off of the bone. What we were served was a rubbery chew toy that you had to saw with a steak knife. The kitchen had to know that it is going to be sent back so I'm not sure why they served it. From what I can tell and from what I hear from others is that Bugatti's has lost a step since the original owner sold. The standards overall just aren't what they used to be and you get hit or miss service/food.

Went there for 8:00 happy hour. Decent HH food at a decent price. I'll go back to try more of it. They don't have any hard cider, so that was a bit of a bummer.

I had a friend buy me my birthday dinner here. I liked the simplicity of the pasta dishes. The service was a bit slow, but I later was told it was because they were down a person. There is a bar inside as well. I'd go back again. :)

    S. L. O. W. Service!!! Brutal Now told maybe the kitchen didn't fire it- My recommendation is avoid this place. If you want apologies - and offered up free drinks in exchange for spending your entire life getting dinner - you've found your restaurant !

Bugatti's in West Linn is a great place for a family event. The atmosphere is upscale but still cozy. We went on Saturday to celebrate my parent's 42nd anniversary and had a great time. My son, who is a picky eater, was looking forward to their simple buttered penne pasta for two days. I had the mushroom pasta, which could probably be classified as my "usual." And as usual, it was great. Some mushroom pasta sauces are too runny, others are too creamy. At Bugatti's, they have it nailed. The cream sauce carries an intense wild mushroom flavor, and there is just the right amount of sauce to go with the wide fettucini noodles. If you are looking forward to sopping up the sauce with bread, prepare for disappointment. The menu is stable, which is great if you like to come back and visit your favorite dishes. It is also inventive, so that you can come back many times and try something unique each visit. Bugatti's doesn't have the longest wine list for an Italian restaurant, but they have some excellent options. We had the "La Tota" Barbera d'Asti. A bit pricey for a Barbera, but an excellent value, as it brings the complexity and smoothness of a Barolo to the table. Service was a little bit slow on this visit, but it is usually right on the line between attentive and smothering, with the food served hot and with the right cadence.

Once again I found myself walking into a restaurant for the first time that I've driven by a million times. Frankly I was surprised at how nice it was. Definitely upscale. The decor was deliciously understated Italian with lots of intimate seating and soft lighting. I could see this being 'the' place to go for a romantic meal. We had a fairly large party and I was impressed with the service. From the constantly filled water glass (those who read my reviews know this is a pet peeve of mine) to the friendly waitstaff who took our order without writing a thing down....how do they do that, anyway??? The menu was quite sizable with the wine list as long as the food choices. They only have three beers on tap, but it seemed they had several bottled choices. The food came out fairly quickly though not all at once so those of us served first had to wait a bit to begin eating until everyone had their plate. I've always heard that the best place to get a steak is an Italian restaurant so that's what I ordered. Though it was good, it wasn't anything better than I've had anywhere else. Plus I felt it was a bit more cooked than the Medium I had ordered. The roasted carrots were fabulous and the garlic mashed potatoes also decent. The experience was a decadent treat for me. I hope to come back again with someone special.

When asked for a recommendation for this area's best choices, this restaurant is invariably in our top three for Italian cuisine. My wife and I celebrate the milestones, the special occasions, at this restaurant and we've not been disappointed. The comfortable atmosphere and discreet lighting support close conversation. The service is attentive and professional, the dinners have been consistently delicious from the first bite of the appetizer to the last nibble of dessert, the comfortable atmosphere and discreet lighting support close conversation. I'd suggest early dinner reservations to better assure a parking space. Enjoy.

This is a charming little restaurant in West Linn next to Thai Orchid. I came here for dinner during First Friday and we ordered the Bruschetta, Misto, Caesar, Gamberetti, and Vino Dolce e Crema. The place is dark, romantic, casual and not too noisy. The staff and waitress were very helpful and they do have a couple specials going on most evenings. They serve complimentary lightly toasted bread with garlic infused EVOO. They also had fresh sea salt and fresh crushed black pepper on every table. The Bruschetta was great. It's made with grilled combo bread, garlic, Roma tomatoes, shallots, basil and balsamic vinegar. It's a small appetizer but full of flavor the ingredients were fresh and toppings were plentiful! The misto salad was excellent. It's made with mesclun, pear, walnuts, Gorgonzola and balsamic vinaigrette. I'm a big Caesars salad kind of guy so it's to no surprise I loved my salad. It came with baby whole leaf romaine, fresh croutons, and their house made Caesars dressing. Mmmmmm!! My friend had the Gamberetti which is made with prawns, pine nuts, green onions, chili flakes, garlic and angel hair. This was a relatively light dish but was very flavorful! I highly recommend this entree. I had the Vino Dolce e Crema which is made with prawns, basil, leeks, Roma tomatoes, linguini with light sherry cream sauce. This was a heavier and richer dish than the Gamberetti but personally I liked this dish better. If you like cream sauce this is a fine twist to your traditional vodka or Alfredo sauce. This had a bit of a sweet flavor and the fresh Roma tomatoes gave a nice texture and flavor accent to the dish. Again, I highly recommend trying this pasta dish. I highly recommend coming here for either a small night with family or a simple date night. They have a nice outdoor patio that is wonderful to sit during the summer and it's not very noisy. You can come here during peak hours and still be seated promptly, so reservations are somewhat optional.

This is the original to the chain of restaurants in Portland. As a result this is definitely more upscale compared to the chain version. Also though the wine list is more extensive and the food is spectacular. My favorite is the lamb pasta dish that is incredible here. Desserts here are also decadent. They also menu changes due to the seasons...but its hard for me to order anything but the the lamb when I come here.

We celebrate all family events at this lovely restaurant. Bob has worked there at least the last 10 years I've frequented the place and is their greatest asset! You may recognize him from Kornblatt's as well, as he works in both establishments and is a heck of a server. I mostly order the filet, but I think I've had pretty much everything on the menu and it's all totally delicious. They do have a great wine list, but we usually bring our own and pay the corking fee. Also, fallen chocolate souffle or tiramisu? You can't go wrong either way.

Let me start by saying that this is by far my favorite Happy Hour spot. Even though I've spent countless days exploring new restaurants outside West Linn for happy hours and even own the "Happy Hour Guidebook 2011," no place can beat my hometown favorite! My friends and I meet at Bugattis every couple weeks, which is just down the road from our parents homes, to enjoy numerous small plates ranging from $3-$7 dollars on their happy hour menu. I don't think I'll ever be able to find a better butternut squash ravioli than theirs, nor a burger better than the gorgonzola and roasted pepper dish. The service is always great, and even though my group has stayed after hours (forgetting they close at 9), the staff always waits patiently for us to leave. My only complaint is that happy hour requires a drink purchase, which I know is typical for many restaurants, but generally those within the downtown Portland area. It would be nice if it wasn't required, as we'd much rather spend our money to get another plate of food.

My husband and I adore Bugatti's and sneak away to the happy hour for the small plates any chance we can. The happy hour menu is wonderful, affordable and provides a great way to try many of the delicious dishes this restaurant offers in a small plate version. Last week the happy hour menu included a gorgonzola cheeseburger...YES, it was divine when I snuck a little bite of the one my husband ordered. We also enjoyed the prawn skewers, butternut squash ravioli, eggplant rollatini and caesar salad. And of course, the wine special of the day! We ate like kings! Dinner at Bugatti's is also a very good experience with the amazing menu (try the cioppino!), wonderful servers who remember what you like, and the very pleasant decor and ambiance. They do well on special occassions and small parties, too. Enjoy!

Of all the Bugatti's this one is set apart. This location is elegant and the food presented well and is delicious. I've taken many of my family and friends here for their Birthday. Bugatti has never disappointed.

I read the reviews below and was really surprised to see all the 5 Stars given. Quite frankly, I did not find the food at Bugatti's good at all, not even a little bit. In fact, my salmon was the dryest peice of salmon I've ever been served at a restaurant before (and granted, I make the same kind of salmon at home -- the very dry kind), but that's exactly why I go out to eat, so I can get a nice peice of salmon that's 'not' dry. The service was good, that I'll have to admit, but the pasta sauce my son had was not and the bread was stale. Really, there are much better restaurants to check out downtown, and downtown is only about 20 minutes away. I think it's worth the drive myself.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This place is absolutely incredible. Jess the bartender knows and creates everything your heart/liver could desire/handle. I had the prosciutto wrapped scallops holy shit-food sex in your mouth especially if you add the Dungeness crab as a topper. My date has the filet mignon topped with sauteed mushrooms. Everything was impeccably presented cooked and served. If I had a second stomach I'd order everything again. We will be returning here very shortly. The happy hour here is also insane ridiculous food and hours of 4-6 & 8-10.

Took my babe out for his birthday dinner. It was going to be A Cena again (took him last year) but decided to go to Bugatti's instead! I looked at the menu at home and decided on Lasagna. Once we arrived, the waiter said the special was Braised Short Ribs, and my babe ordered it. I couldn't keep my hands off of it, by far the best Braised Short Ribs ever!!! Lasagna was really good but incomparable to the Braised Short Ribs!!! WARNING: Tiny little parking area, and richie rich (or not) of West Linn are in need to park their expensive (or not) cars butt-in first! So just park on Fairview Way and walk.

Restaurant itself was beautiful. Very nice atmosphere, we sat out on the patio and even though its the middle of winter, it is covered on all sides and heated. It was very romantic. That was the good, the bad was the service and the prices. Way too expensive for what they actually offered. My husband ordered the lasagna and it was $14 for a small square of lasagne that was cold in the middle and didn't even come with a salad. The service was the worst part. Our server was pretty much non-existant the entire time. we did more sitting and waiting then anything else. I had asked her for more bread and she actually left and came back in the room 3 times before she finally "remembered" and had the bus boy go get it for us. she didn't have much personality and was neither friendly or attentive. I was really disappointed in the food and service, but the restaurant was very nice inside. I agree with the previous comment, I would love to find a good, authentic, casual italian restaurant in this area!

My very favorite restaurant in the city. We go here for special occasions (birthdays and Valentines Day) as well as just everyday eating. I'd say we go to Bugatti's about once a month. I always get the pollo capperi and ask for extra sauce. I also get the misto salad and it is very good. My husband gets the gamboretti and he absolutely loves it. We ask to sit in the "wine room" if it is available. Nice cosy room off of the main dining room. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. Ambiance is nice with low lighting and candles at every table. Having said all of this, you can either dress up or go casual. One of the things we like the best is the bread and oil and balsalmic viniagarette you get before the meal as well as the profiterole we order after our meal for dessert. My husband always says he can just go for those two things and he'd be full. LOVE this restaurant!

We have been here numerous times and have been pleased with the food, wine selection, service (mostly) and happy hour. We have sat in the bar, patio and indoors. We have also brought friends with us and they enjoyed it. Service can be a little slow at busy times and they did make us wait close to an hour with a confirmed reservation. The bar area is also slow. They usually have one bartender covering the bar and patio during HH.

My manager is a big fan of this place, so it's a frequent destination for business dinners. I'm certainly not complaining about that. Every meal I've had here has been excellent. I usually go with a chicken (Pollo Prosciutto) or pasta dish. However, several of my dining companions have raved about the lamb loin (Agnello Francia) and the fish specials. They're bruschetta is also very good. I am not a wine drinker, but the list seems pretty extensive and our customers are never disappointed. The dessert list is also pretty impressive. They always feature a freshly-made gelato. I can't personally speak for the baked goods, but they look tasty. The ambiance is pretty good. It's dimly lit. There are some nooks and cranny's for a more private dining experience. The restaurant (caveat: we go on week nights) is quiet enough to enjoy an intimate conversation. As much as I enjoy our business dinners there, I could see Bugatti's being even better for a a date night or for celebrating a special occasion. If I lived in West Linn, I would definitely consider it for just such an occasion.

Poor customer service, delayed for drink order then delayed for meal. Next you wait a good 10-15 minutes for drinks to arrive. Then you wait another 30 for any appetizers and an additional 30 for entree. Apathetic toward drinks of non alcoholic relation being refilled.

Came here because of a coupon I won at a raffle. It was a great date night for me and my sweetie for a 2.5 year anniversary dinner (to us not that big of deal, but it was nice having an excuse to dress up). I had the lasagna, my boyfriend had the filet mignon. First off, the starter bread is phenomenal. It was served with a garlic sauce and a tomato paste, perfect for a small appetizer. When our food arrived, I just about died and went to Heaven. The lasagna was incredible, a perfect blend of simple ingredients yet put together in the perfect proportion. My boyfriend's meal was cut-it-with-a-butter-knife meat, amazingly tender. We also tried each other's meal, and even though we are not fans of the other's dish (a.k.a I don't really like steak and he doesn't quite prefer lasagna), we both would have ordered each others' dish because it was so perfect. Our server was also incredibly professional and kind, without being pushy and overbearing. He did not make us feel like we just had to get dessert or an appetizer, but just let us be in our own private world at our table. Overall, this is definitely a place that did not make me think, "Gee, that was a waste of make-up". Get dressed up for this place, it's something wonderful.

Went in last night for dinner with a group. The service SUCKED. They never cleared our tables in between courses, in fact they just placed more food on the table. The waitress was inattentive at best. Way too long to get the first drink... I had to go up to the bar and ask for it... she pointed and said "it's over there, she will bring it shortly", and again, we waited. The food was O. K. Just OK. And I definitely won't ever go back. BLECH on service. MEH on the food.

Having lived in West Linn for several years, my husband and I decided to finally try this place. When we walked in to a half full restaurant and the snooty girl at the desk asked if we had reservations we should have walked out then. But we stayed. She told us to choose our own table and we sat in the outside seating area. After a long wait, the bartender arrives and says "I was told to come and take your drink order". My husband inquired about the beer on draft, he made a selection and I chose a cherry limeade. My husband got the wrong beer, but my drink was great. He also takes our food order at the same time. We ordered the ravioli with Alfredo sauce, after another long period of time the food was "dropped" in front of us and was served cold and under cooked. The raviolis were still raw, and had the flour flavor as well as being way too chewy. After another long wait the bartender returned to our table asked "is that it, No desert or nothing?" I was livid at this point! I have never been treated so dismissive and poorly in my life. I said "no, give us our bill". He drops the bill on the table and I place my credit card in it and it sits for another 10 minutes while he chit chats with the "regulars". I walk up to the hostess and have her run the payment. I didn't leave a tip, and they are lucky I even chose to pay the bill without making a huge scene. Why were we treated so shitty? Well here's a clue, my husband was wearing a long sleeve Harley Davidson Tee shirt, and jeans with cowboy boots, he also has facial hair! The working class are not welcome in this place. I am in administration and was wearing sensible shoes with my all black ensemble. Little do they know that we make more money in a day then most of those servers make in a week, and we have no problem spending it for a nice meal with good service. We have been known to tip as much as 50% if we are treated like they value us. It felt as though they were purposely giving us bad service and poor quality food to ensure that our working class asses never dare to enter the establishment of the elite again. Come on you asshats, it's West Linn, not downtown or even Lake O. I said exactly that to the hostess whose response was a bored "I'm sorry, have a good night".

I love Bugatti's! This is West Linn's own upscale Italian restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of Italian cuisine, while not too overwhelming. They give you this salty crusty bread and balsamic with olive oil to get you started, which I love! The ambience is perfect, with dim lighting and candles. The restaurant is very clean and the service is always friendly. I also love there patio, which feels like it's outdoors, but is covered and has heaters. There is s beautiful wall fountain. Finally, I love the happy hour menu. The prices are so fair and you get a great selection.

My family has come here for years. This was a very disappointing last experience. I say last as there are many Italian, old school restaurant options and when the service turns horrible it's time to worry whether they will stay in business, as this service was so bad by multiple staff members that seemed miserable and as if they truly did not like their jobs. Were left unattended, no enthusiasm about the menu, ignored and had to clear our own dishes, pour our own wine, wow. We will not be back.

After visiting Marylhurst campus, we went looking for dinner. Our 7 and 3 year old granddaughters wanted to eat in a restaurant and made it clear they didn't want a burger joint. We have taken them to many nice restaurants. And they know how to act and what utensils to use correctly. We've eaten numerous times at Bugattis in the Hillsboro area, so we stopped. Oh man I forget how pretentious this area can be.. And Grandpa was wearing a flannel shirt... Gasp. five of us entered the building at 5:00- boy did we get looks. The host asked if we were there for happy hour... Yeah sure thing, my grandkids will belt down Shirley Temples... Geez. We were seated, watered and bread was brought. And ignored.... Finally we placed our drink orders. Drinks arrived and our order was placed. Our waitress who was walking back and forth never checked in with us... A kid drink was spilled, looked around, and finally grabbed napkins from surrounding tables. Dinner came out in three deliveries. Of course the kid meals were last. The kids Alfredo sauce tasted bland, like flour- thickened milk. No salt, garlic and little Parmesan, but only the 7 year old ate some of her food. Hubby loved his spaggetti with sausage, daughter loved her eggplant Parmesan. I was disappointed in my $22 dollar angel hair pasta with crab. I couldn't find any crab, there was no depth of flavor. The tomatoes, basil and garlic didn't enhance the flavor. Our waitress came grabbed the kids dishes and mine... With food still in it!! She turned and walked away we all stared at each other.. Seriously.... I guess that was our cue to leave. We waited for the check.. $99.75. Not bad for 5 meals and a bottle of Chianti Our card was swiped for $30.25. Now I seriously thought should I make the effort to signal the waitress who ignored us... She spent way more time smiling and chatting with other patrons... Never checked our wine, not the kid drinks...we were good for another bottle til she started yanking food off the table. But no, we signaled her over and she said rather snippy... "Is there something wrong with your bill?" Boy did she become sweet when she saw the ticket. It was the only thank you we received. Not here, never again...and our 3 year old granddaughter on the way out asked to stop at the restaurant in Scappoose. I looked at her and said " you want french fries huh?" She smiled a shook her head yes... So we did.

This is by far our favorite Italian restaurant around. Not to be confused with the other Bugatti's locations, this spot is a gem. The waitstaff all remember us, which is amazing seeing as we really only go in about 4-6 times per year. Good price for what you get. Recommend the Agnello if you're a fan of lamb.

I'm torn on this place. I've been a few times, two recently, and have had different experiences. So for that reason, I'm leaving this a three, with an expectation to update at some point. We went here for dinner on New Years Eve and were seated by a manager. Well, after sitting for almost 15 minutes with no waiter even coming for drinks orders, and seeing other groups being seated and waited on, we grabbed the hostess and asked what was going on. She apologized, moved us, and explained that we had been seated at a table nobody was assigned to serve. Apparently the manager, trying to help, had made a mistake. Part of me was fine that they apologized, and part of me was still upset. I guess I would hope that the staff, upon seeing two people sitting without service for 15 minutes, would try to at least ask around. And if the manager caused it, maybe we could have a glass of wine or something on the house. But oh well. The server that helped us from then on out was very friendly and the food was fantastic. Prices were definitely a bit higher than I would have liked, but the food was good and it was a special occasion. So that trip was a mixed bag. The most recent trip was just for dessert. My wife REALLY wanted a canoli, and this seemed like the only place in town that might do it well. So we stopped in. We made a reservation using the open table app on their Yelp page, and it worked great. Got there, chose to sit on the patio (weather was really nice and we liked the brightness on the patio versus the dining room). We actually had the same server as our last trip, and she was just as friendly and helpful as always. We ordered the canolis (picture uploaded) and to be honest, we were a little disappointed. It's not that as a dessert it didn't taste good, it's just that it's NOT a canoli. It has a sweet, dark brown very thin shell (not that thicker standard canoli shell). And the filling was a little different. More granular and sweet, with pistachio and cherry (as opposed to the smooth creamy filling we expected). Did it taste good? Yes. Was it worth the $7 each? Maybe. Did it satisfy the canoli cravings? Nope. I guess I felt a little tricked. The menu description is pretty accurate to what was served, but we didn't bother reading it (just asked if they had any and ordered). I think they should add that it's their 'interpretation' of a canoli. Oh well. The place has always served good food, and our wait staff has always been very good. The prices are high, but its good for an occasional destination. I think I'll need to try lunch and make a final assessment. As it stands, I definitely don't discourage you from coming. Check out the menu (available on their Yelp profile) and see what sounds good. I'll update later and it will probably land at a four or a three.

SKIP THIS. 2 hours from order to entree. Making the waitress aware annoyed her. The manager did not validate nor apologize. Not worth the hassle for barely Italian food. The vongole is spaghetti clams and the water they were cooked in. Gross.

The food and the atmosphere were fantastic! The service, however, was a little slow. But that didn't bother me since I was meeting some friends there that I haven't seen in a while so we enjoyed the nice long dinner. The food was amazing! I had the Pollo Limone....outstanding! Even though the restaurant was packed, it was very quiet so we can actually hold a conversation. Great place to catch up with old friends! Bugatti's is our new meeting place when I'm in town. LOVE IT!!!!

Amazing food and fantastic service! We went with another couple and tried each other's dishes and they were all incredible! The pasta HAD to have been homemade and the flavors of the sauces were all very distinct, unique & fresh. The prices were excellent considering the quality of the food. We will definitely be back soon!

We had reservations for 9. Thankfully only 6 of us could make it due to the windstorm. I don't think the staff could handle a 9 top. The restaurant was maybe seated at 25% capacity and the service was terrible. After selecting a bottle of wine the waitress set it on our table and disappeared for 10 minutes. When she returned to open the wine, one member of the group ordered a glass of wine and another ordered a cocktail. After waiting 15 minutes we noticed the drinks sitting at the bar serving station. The waitress finally served a tepid Sidecar and the wine. Basic appetizers took 15 minutes to serve. The bruschetta was an ill-conceived pile of tomatoes and onions on bread and the seafood skewers were unremarkable. After another absence the waitress returned to take our dinner order. 6 entrees took over 30 minutes to prepare. The restaurant at this time had only one other table seated. After such a long wait the food was dull. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are far better choices for italian food in the 'burbs and far superior choices for Italian food in Portland at the same prices.

This is by far the best happy hour in West Linn, maybe also Lake Oswego. In the summer I love sitting out on their patio with a book, wine, and munchies like antipasti. In the winter, I like to cozy up in the warm bar. The service is generally friendly and warm and very prompt. We have come for dinner a few times and enjoyed it as well.

Simple yet great food. Misto salad is always tasty and a good selection of wines. Service is efficient and pleasant

Good but not great this time. Usually we are extremely happy. This time it lacked a litttle in service.

Spinach salad was delicious. I had the cioppino which although very good was a little less than I expected. I was hoping for a tomato broth (i should have read more carefully). It was also prepared on top of cous cous which I thought weird and not a good match. The seafood was all cooked perfectly. The menu and wine list seemed to be pared down from my last visit several years ago and I think they pull of a great value for this tasty menu.

Great food, very poor service..! We counted 15 open tables, yet were told the wait time was over 3hrs. Why is it that the hostess continues to be the weak link at most Resturants I visit? Sat in the bar and ate dinner - over the course of the next 2hrs a steady count of 10+ tables remained open. Bartender was decent but had a " I could care less attitude" Food was fantastic. Lasagna was cold in the middle, but they promptly heated it up. I just hate paying $100 for dinner and drinks and getting treated like a 2nd class citizen...

We arrived just after opening on a Saturday evening, because their reservations for seating seem to fill quickly. We were seated immediately, in their cozy dining room, near a window table. Our waiter seemed a bit pretentious at first, but turned out to be a very professional and helpful server. We were served warm bread and garlic dipping oil - both tasty. Insalata e Zuppe: We started out ordering a large Caesar Salad, and they kindly split the portion for us. It was all one could hope for; baby leaf romaine, parmesan, crispy croutons, and a delightfully tangy dressing. Primi: Sweetie ordered "Granchi", featuring Dungeness crab, basil, shallots, Roma tomatoes, angel hair, white wine sauce. As I recall, she asked if they could substitute the wine sauce with a Marsala cream sauce. "Of course!" was the reply. She said her dinner was very good. I opted for the "Pollo Capperi"; an 8 oz chicken breast, roasted potatoes and carrots, Fontina cheese, capers, Marsala cream sauce. Mine supper was delectable. The chicken smelled fresh and tasted delicious and tender. Along with this ample portion of fowl, the roasted potatoes and carrots and sauce made for a scrumptious meal. Fini: Okay, I don't write Italian. But, in the end, this was a wonderful meal, well worth the price.

Nice happy hour but sitting outside is unbearable. The sun is in your face. They should invest in umbrellas or some sort of shade canopies. We had to move inside.

The 2nd time I have come and been turned away, have children and can not help but think that the same hostess does not want to seat children. Was told a table 'would be a long time' that does not indicate a time on if we would wait or not. Are children not welcome?

This is hands down the best Bugatti's! They are a smaller restaurant with a nice little outdoor seating area, a cozy bar section and a pleasant main seating area. They a perfect for a date night or just an evening out for a delicious meal or drinks and appetizers. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed! The service is always friendly and they take great care of you. The drinks are perfect, the food is consistent and I love the flavors, portion sizes and freshness of the food. If you have room for dessert you'll be happy you tried it! My personal favorites are the Gamberetti and for dessert the Canoli...Yum!!

Great Italian cuisine. We had dinner here the other night reasonable prices. Everything was good. Happy hour was good. Decent prices and good food. We had the burger and the capellini plus the shrimp salad. Reasonable portions. Burger was very good for only $5.00. No fries though. Just the burger.

We had dinner at Bugatti's in Oregon City for the first time tonight and it was wonderful! Dan, the bartender provided us with the best service! I got to taste test two of Dan's specialty drinks; a Raspberry Lemon Drop and my new favorite Blood Orange Martini. For appetizers, we had focaccia bread with garlic olive oil and steamer clams which were fantastic. For dinner, I had the beef medallions medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes and baby green beans which was scrumptious! My hubby had the prawn shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta which was great too! I highly recommend eating at Bugatti's in Oregon City and enjoying one of Dan's specialty drinks and one of their signature Italian dishes! I can't wait to go back to enjoy a Blood Orange Martini and their all day Sunday happy hour which they offer anywhere in the restaurant and bar!

We tried out the happy hour. They had a decent variety of inexpensive plates. The pasta was tasty and the mussels were good. Drinks were tasty as well. Nothing blew my socks off but definitely worth it for a cheaper date.

Unfortunately, our annual ladies holiday dinner at Bugatti's wasn't quite up to the par that we've grown to expect. FIrst the good: We did get some wonderful bruschetta and red pepper dipping sauce and olive oil. The antipasti plate was wonderful. Now the bad: The trouble began when several drinks were delivered, but not all. This is really just bad form! We did really enjoy the salads, including the Misto, Spinacci, and House salads. The Caesar was short on garlic. The situation went from bad to worse when it took an hour and a half to get our food. The waitress said the capellini was taking extra time. Last I checked, that's not a dish that is incredibly high effort! As we ate our dinner we began commenting that the food was room temperature, the pasta was dry and had no crushed red pepper, so it was pretty bland. The good all around was not exceptional and definitely not at the quality we expected from past years. The service was terrible. During the entire 3 hour dinner, the water cups weren't refilled once. We cleared our table ourselves. The coffee was lukewarm. The waitress was unable to smile and never checked on us. We told the waitress about our disappointment and her explanation was that they had a 10 top and a 12 top. All of these groups, including ours, were reservations, so the excuse fell flat with us. The restaurant was busy, but far from full. It's a real shame because we love the location, the atmosphere and the menu.

I hosted a birthday party for my dad for 21 people. They did a FABULOUS JOB!!! We had two long tables in the middle of the restaurant. They have two tables that are off by themselves sort of; one for 11 people and the other roughly 20. So, it's a great place to have a large group! The service was SPOT ON, and you know it can always be spotty when you have a large party and it can really make a party frustrating. The food was excellent. I ordered a few appetizers. Everyone raved about their meal. I had filet medallions. Yum. Bonus: Monday night there is NO corkage fee. They cut & served our cake with no extra cost. Overall, a perfect evening at Bugatti's! Thank You.

One of three restaurants, this Bugatti's is the most upscale of its sister establishments (see Bugatti's Oregon City and Bugatti's pizzeria for the other two). This is also my favorite of the three. Bugatti's Ristorante offers semi-fine dining in the burbs. Located on Hwy 43 in West Linn, this is one of our faves. We especially like the wine list, the wait staff and of course, the food! You won't find your typical lasagne and ravioli menu here. The cioppino and a great spicy scampi dish with pine nuts, spinach and linguine are two of my favorites (I can't remember what it's called!). I always find it amazing when you can have a waiter take your order and never write a single thing down. He never gets a thing wrong either. Wow. Two huge hints: make a reservation and park on the side street or in the doctor's office parking lot during off hours. This is a tiny place with a huge heart and a menu that will make love to your tastebuds.

TIP: we order take out from here once a week for a "date at home". We order an appetizer, Caesar salad, one entree and tiramasu. It's about $40, less than half the cost if we went out to eat there with wine. Their food is INCREDIBLE but the atmosphere in my dining room at home is much nicer than their restaurant. When we have gone in to eat there, we've had great service. I wish they had a location with a view, then it would be 5 star with great food, service and location.

I have been a fan for 15+ years. Excellend food with good value. You can get pasta for $12 to $15. I like the lamb pasta, my wife loves the squash ravolli. Great desserts. They have developed a nice happy hour.

Visited Bugatti's on a Saturday evening this past Summer. We ordered the Gamberetti & Halibut special. Unfortunately, the pasta was a little over cooked and the halibut was still raw on the inside. It had nice grill marks and the food looked good. Perhaps the halibut started out too frozen? The place seemed nice and the service wasn't bad.

Love the happy hour! My husband and I stop by here regularly to sit at the bar and grab a quick bite. The happy hour menu is fun with small portions of really good food. My favorite is the steamer clams.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
